We bring you a wrap up the very first GameGune event to take place in Mexico.
The event put up a fair prize pot, but could not attract top teams to cross the Atlantic to participate. Only WeMade FOX and Evil Genuises showed up, of teams with a certain caliber. It should also be the two that faced one another in the final, WeMade FOX coming from lower-bracket, as Evil Geniuses had sent them down there, with a 2-0 win in the upper-bracket final. Evil Geniuses went to win yet another time against WeMade FOX, this time in a much more even match, ending 2-1 in favor of the Americans.
We now bring you the very last of GameGune Mexico. As stated earlier on, we could not be at the event ourselves, but had our Spanish-correspondent Jon "zoR" Torrado from GameGune on site, to bring us all we could ask for. During the last map, in the final round, a video of Evil Geniuses winning and celebrating was captured, check it out below.
After the match there was a small prize ceremony, which we also bring you photos from. You can find all the galleries from GameGune Mexico here.

We also have a great load of POV demos from the event, which you can find here. There are a few demos that we can recommend, once again Danny "fRoD" Montaner versus WeMade FOX in the upper-bracket final as CT on train (find it here), but also Sung Jae "bail" Lee against Evil Geniuses on inferno in the Grand Final (find it here). The Swedish site fragbite have put together a small frag-highlight from Lee's 5 headshot ace in the pistol round, check it out below.
We will in the coming week be processing statistics from the event, which will tell you who was on top of their game this past weekend in Mexico.
